Had a lovely afternoon tea, with excellent service. Very friendly and helpful.
It was a lovely day however I found it odd that there was no room for us to eat in the tearoom as a birthday party had taken precedence. It seemed an opportunity lost especially in the quiet season not to look after people visiting the grounds. I would go again with a picnic.
Wedding venue fantastic, chips n pizza for evening guests bland and boring, staff behind bar not experienced at all quite useless and not had any training on serving drinks. Long blonde hair "barmaid" did full bottle of coke in a glass then added a splash of vodka !!!
Really nice place for a day out! The lakeside walk and the gardens are beautiful. I enjoyed seeing all the animals too, especially the ducks and the peacocks roaming freely around the grounds.There's a great cafe here too, with friendly staff and very nice, reasonably priced food. The cake selection in particular is brilliant, I was spoilt for choice!A lovely place - we really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back!
What a gem this place is! Beautifully kept gardens with peacocks freely walking through. Plenty to see and do, perfect for families with young children and elderly people too. There's a small entry fee but well worth paying. Car park is free and plenty of spaces to park.Would highly recommend and definitely will be coming back.
